Trends Watch 2021 And Beyond
Technology Is Transforming Health Insurance Right Now. Here's How to Make the Most of It.

As founding Editor-in-Chief of WIRED magazine’s UK edition, David came to know the founders of WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Google, Didi, Spotify, Xiaomi, Nest, Twitter and countless other ambitious startups from Tel Aviv to Shenzhen. He has since invested in more than 60 early-stage tech companies, including two that became billion-dollar “unicorns”, and is an adviser to Lakestar, one of Europe’s largest venture-capital funds.
His best-selling book “Non-Bullshit Innovation: Radical Ideas from the World’s Smartest Minds” (Penguin, 2019) has been published in Japan, Korea, Russia and beyond. The book, a 20-country quest for bold corporate innovation in the face of technology-led disruption, sets out sixteen proven strategies for future-proofing a successful business — from “Turn products into services” to “Empower your team” and “Become a platform”.
David has been a technology columnist for The Times, GQ, Condé Nast Traveller and The Sunday Times, and hosts a new podcast series about tech founders called Walks With Founders. He has received repeat requests to keynote for clients such as Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan, Google, KPMG, McKinsey, Chanel and Unilever, and has moderated events for the World Economic Forum and the UK and French governments. Agenda
Technology Is Transforming Health Insurance Right Now. Here's How to Make the Most of It.
David Rowan discusses seven trends, everything from the personalization of diagnostics and the patient's extraordinary empowerment to the impact of machine learning on everyday healthcare. He also shares some of the lessons learned while writing a book about innovation on empowering organizations to be ready for the future.

Realizing the Promise of Digital Health
In the 2020 Big Data and AI will derive a tectonic shift in medical diagnosis and healthcare management, a paradigm change so drastic that insurers will be forced to re-assign risk assessment to assets never accounted for before. The evolutionary potentiality of AI will gather digitized data not just from medical practices, tests results, image banks and patient data from healthcare centers but also the self-monitoring of patients, data that will be gathered by third party application providers.

Welcome to the Future of Health. Are you ready?
What will the future of health look like when certain healthcare tasks are taken over by digital healthcare providers and our hospitals make way for intelligent e-health applications? Technological developments in health are taking place at breakneck speed. Think telemedicine, wearables, brain implants that eliminate the effects of epilepsy and Alzheimer's, and bioprinters that print organs. Watch Richard van Hooijdonk predicting the future of health at the MRHT Annual Customer Conference 2020.

Five Technology Trends That Impact the Insurance Industry
The insurance world is undergoing a profound change. Demanding customers, new competitors, and a changing set of challenges induce a disruption beyond digital. How will organizations manage to survive, evolve, and thrive in such an ever-changing environment? Watch Dr. Kurt Mitzner describe the most critical technology trends that directly impact the insurance industry.

The impact of COVID-19 on the Health Insurance Administration
COVID-19 forced the health insurance market to quickly change how organizations manage customer needs. Some changes are reactive and will disappear, but others will stay as customers now have different expectations.

Trends in customer journey driven by services and digitalization
The customer journey in health insurance is in continuous development, being the driving factor in the decision-making process of buying insurance. Creating a product or adjusting an existing one should be driven mainly by the customer's experiences and preferences through their interaction with an insurance organization. In this presentation, Tiberiu Maier discusses how adding out-of-the-box solutions for customers influenced the form and process of private health insurance in a young market.

MR HealthTech Going Forward
Gerry Raftopoulos provides an overview of the progress that MR HealthTech has achieved over the last five years. He will also discuss the company’s vision and strategy for the next five years, and the benefits that MRHT customers enjoy.

Take Your Health Insurance Administration System to the MEDNEXT Level
What does a core insurance system need to have to be comprehensive, meet the market needs, offer peace of mind, and accelerate health business growth?

The new-generation MEDNEXT
A sneak peek of MEDNEXT's intuitive new interface and technology enhancements.
SHIELD: From Ideation to Reality
Nowadays, more than ever, insurance organizations are under constant pressure to offer improved services at reduced costs—for claims management in particular. Marco Franchi and Iordanis Stefanakis present how MRHT’s high-performance claims management engine, SHIELD (Software for Health Insurance Eligibility Detection), enables insurers to lower health insurance claims costs, reduce the risk caused by fraudulent actions, improve claims turn-around-times, and automate claims adjudication. They also provide a brief overview of SHIELD's upcoming roadmap.

Leading Technology Innovation Through Architecture
Most health insurance executives strive to solve the riddle of digital transformation and its impact on their organizations. Watch Maria Parisi as she addresses the challenges that CIOs in the health insurance industry are currently facing, and how modern architecture supports them in dealing with them.

A SMART Insurer – A Practical Roadmap
According to Gartner, in three years from now, only 5% of insurers will have the organizational elements in place to be an "intelligent insurer". While big data and its processing are important, intelligence is not just about using more data. It's about making data actionable, managing it across the ecosystem, and adjusting the strategy over time in a fast and agile way. Bilal Ramadan provides useful tips on creating an organization that uses data intelligently for digital success through effective enablement and application of intelligence.

Data Analytics at Munich Re
With the increasing digitalization and the rise of new data-driven business models, Data Analytics becomes more critical than ever across all industries. In the insurance industry, people with the right skills and state-of-the-art technology enable data-driven decision making and forward-looking portfolio steering.
